King and Traudt Looked very good but my standout player of the game goes to Neal. Neal stepped up his game on both ends of the court. Who would've thought Neal would lead us with (4) 3's.

Notre Dame isn't great, but this game is an example of why I wasn't writing off the season completely. Everything looks a lot smoother when the role guys simply do their jobs and take advantage of their opportunities. 4-8 3FG from the three floor spacers (Traudt, Miller and McAndrew) goes a long way. Green was helpful in his minutes. We've seen that all those guys are capable of doing what the team needs of them. Even Davis and Thomas made an impact in their minutes.

It's also why people saying Neal shouldn't ever shoot 3s is ridiculous. Basketball doesn't work that way, especially with the positions he plays in Creighton's system. If he turns down an open catch-and-shoot look outside of the first 10 seconds of the shot clock, I'm not sure how often Creighton is going to get a better look, especially when teams are packing the paint against Kalkbrenner. I'd much rather him take an open catch-and-shoot 3s than attack a Rondo closeout for the pull-up mid-range fadeaway he missed so many times in this game. He's not a good 3-point shooter, but he's also not a complete non-shooter, and is better than what he had done the first handful of games.

He’s getting such wide open 3s if he can just hit at like a 30% clip it’s gonna be big the rest of the season.
