If we don’t beat Butler at home, do we deserve a two seed?

Go UConn. Can’t believe I’m just posted that.
So long Valley, hello big time.

Why go UConn? Just dislike Marquette more?

I’ve actually been wondering who we want to cheer for. If we win on Saturday then we are the 2 seed, no matter what happens, right? And we are competing for NCAA seeding with UConn. So go Marquette?

Wish McNeeley had gone 4-15 against the Jays.

And of course McNeely having a 4-15 night so far, wildly missing two footers, etc., after single-handed beating us with ridiculous make after ridiculous make.

How bad is Creighton’s luck? McNeely was the only reason UConn won in Omaha and he’s been hot garbage all night again tonight. Now 4-18. 4-18. A night like that in Omaha would have meant a double digit Jays’ win, easily.

I failed to say that UConn winning means we likely will get UConn as our 3 seed. I much prefer Marquette since UConn will have a home crowd.

Yeah, but still gotta beat the Battlin' Bizjacks. The Fightin' Finleys can be a tough out, even in Omaha (like the infamous Groundhog Day Ambush of 2024). And Senior Days, especially this one coming up, can create a weird vibe. So I'm not going to count my Butlers before they're buttled.

EDIT: Just checked and, apparently, we're the 2 now, come hell or high water. Cool. But I wanted to make fun of Fernley Backpack again anyway.

Unless I’m mistaken, Marquette will fall to the 5 seed behind Xavier if it loses at SJU and Xavier wins at Providence on Saturday.
