Knowledgeable, likeable, insures program continuity, one of our own. I love it. Welcome home Coach Huss. Now, if he only brings in Coach Ben Walker, as one of his assistants upon taking charge of the program? ;)

I would guess that we'll eventually see Antoine Young on the coaching staff with Huss. He was at Kearney, then High Point with Huss.

That would be cool, though it would make me feel old. Corey Edwards could return as well.

Yesterday on Twitter, someone asked me about the moment on Senior Night 2001 when the crowd pleaded with Dana to put Huss back in for one last run -- it was one of those nights where Livan Pyfrom was the better of the center platoon, and he'd barely played in the second half. I did some digging and found the broadcast tape.

You want to know how much Bluejay fans loved this guy? A sold-out crowd of 9,000+ at the Civic spent a full minute chanting his name in a plea to get him a curtain call.

(Also, yes. I cut this clip a bit longer than it needed to be so that I could leave the nasty Justin Haynes alley-oop in at the beginning!)

This article mentions 4 transfers that were going to High Point;

Rob Martin is the only one that I would think we might be interested in. On taking a quick look at his numbers, he appears to be a good senior PG who distributes well and shoots the 3 well. But, you would think he’s not looking for a back up role, he’s only 5’10 and the competition level jump from SEMO could be a factor.

Ras shared the above video on his social media with this caption: "If you take time to listen to this interview you will better understand the next great basketball coach at Creighton—a relentless, intelligent and high character person who loves Omaha and Creighton."
