How about as a comp : “Who we thought Kaluma might become”?

That was my thought also, however Kaluma is currently better at Texas, just didn’t show those skills as a Jay on a consistent basis.

He reminds me of Alex O’Connell. Jamiya even stepped out of bounds on the sideline against DePaul just like AOC did at least twice a game.

I was thinking Alex O’Connell also. Also thinking an about Rodney Buford but hard to compare the two as Buford was here for four years but also played against lower level of competition in college.

O'Connell was initially primarily a streaky outside threat who had surprising athleticism and ability to get to the rim. Neal feels kind of the opposite of that, to me.

And the "Creighton player can't figure out where the sideline is on his own home floor (I know, you're talking about at DePaul here) and steps out of bounds inexplicably" is just kind of becoming part of the program DNA. I will say, though, it seems to have happened way less lately than it was for awhile.

Ashworth has a firm hold on this crown.

I don’t think Ashworth does it as much as AOC did.

He’s been better the last few games but there was a pretty long stretch of games where he stepped out of bounds, mainly while dribbling which I guess is a little different than what AOC was doing.

Since there has been some talk of Jamiya getting a fifth year via NCAA rule change I thought this was interesting.
I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.

Hopefully Jamiya can do what he came here to do, get us to the Final Four and get himself drafted in the first round. Success in the tourney equals success in the draft as proven by Villanova and UCONN players who stepped up their game in March Madness.
At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

This sounds carefully worded.
