Pretty much, except there's four headliners. In 2017, the Jays played UCLA in the first round, and Baylor in the title game. It's typically an eight-team field; each headliner gets two home games against a pair of the lower-tier opponents prior to heading to KC. Then there's two brackets once you get to KC -- one for the four headliners, and one for the other four teams.
Jays beat Missouri and Ohio State in the 2004 event, and in 2002 when the bracketing was a bit different, beat IUPUI and Notre Dame.
