Love the SDSU home game, and hate the Kennesaw St game. I hope we forced to play Kennesaw and didn’t willingly schedule that game. They won 1!!!! Game last year and were the 2nd to worst team in the country.

With the NET have to go out and win by 40 to have it not hurt us.

College sports budgets are in complete disarray. Things are so bad that conferences are petitioning the NCAA to cut programs - and we're just getting started!

I'm guessing there's slightly more focus on budget than SOS right now. Bad teams cost less than good teams.

Actually the schedule is basically full. Adding UConn to the Big East took away 2 non-conference games.

Kennesaw St.
Central Arkansas
South Dakota St.
@ Nebraska
Arizona St.
Gavitt Game (assuming in since Jays would be a top team, maybe vs Iowa)
The Battle game (Big 12 vs Big East-- I wouldn't be surprised if at Kansas)
Battle 4 Atlantis tourney.

The only other game that possibly could be added yet would be a mainland game for Battle 4 Atlantis against a low major, but with pending legislation with NCAA that may change some scheduling rules with Multi-Team events, that may not be an option after this summer.

So there is your non-conference schedule to just fill in some blanks on the challenges and Atlantis bracket.

But man, that is a heck of a non-conference schedule that sounds like a lot of fun and a great challenge for a talented team.

So, with the addition of UCONN and these scheduling rules, it looks like Creighton will be set at 11 non-conference games. So far (in no particular order),

Central Arkansas
@Kansas
3 games at Battle for Atlantis
@Nebraska
Arizona State
Kennesaw State
South Dakota State
Gavitt Game (should be a home game)?
1 additional game

It looks like our schedule is already booked up, and I really hope they go after another decent mid-major with the last slot or at least someone from the Top 200 and not another Kennesaw State type team. This should be a top 100 Non-con SOS as is though for next year.

If we get a Gavitt game I’m looking for another cupcake. If not there are two holes to fill and I think you’ll get a La Tech (last year version) type team and a cupcake. We’re going to get another cupcake, deal with it.

Jays don’t need to schedule up beyond the three football schools, two on the road, and three tough neutral games. That’s enough with a tough Big East. Jays need some breather games where the bench can get cleared and Z and company only have to play 20 minutes.
I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.

If there is a Gavitt game then the schedule is full. With UConn joining, lost 2 non-conference games.
