TBH On TV, it looked like a mediocre half filled high school gym. Came off completely inferior to the environment at CHI. I actually commented to my daughter that it's extremely apparent that all they care about in Alabama is football if they don't even bother to show up for a big game on a Saturday night.

Graduation weekend. Didn’t expect much. Bama fans were actively engaged and vocal all night. Both students and non students. It was loud.

I’m sure it looked bad on TV, but I would love to see similar environments at CHI. You could feel the roof ready to blow off at any moment.

Interesting. It definitely didn't look like that on TV. I viewed it as one small step up from the dying MVC tournament in STL.

Tops was Ashworth: he looked and played like he was better (or at least as good) as these any of those guys. Loved his play (although he has shot better). A little bit behind him was Kalk, although I wish he would have been more assertive in the first half. After that, I would say Green looked like he wasn't afraid of the moment, and of course McAndrew (late). The rest of the guys played scared or just sucked.

Idk why everyone wants to take shots at our crowd. It’s always bad for terrible non conf games we win by 20+. But very legit for any game with a pulse.

Nice take. Neal is an up and down player, he has no handles, misses way to many shots and is our 2 guard, although he plays hard and can rebound. Miller and Traudt played like they didn't belong and just can't step up against quality opponents. I do think we can compete this year and make a run in the tourney, call me crazy, Ash and Kalk have to play out their minds this year and if McAndrew can shoot like he did tonight on a regular basis you never know. Green needs to play a lot more. Thomas should play over Davis because the dude can actually play legit D.

Our crowd definitely shows better on TV than that game tonight. Some of it could be their placement of media/scouts, etc. It just looked half empty and not great to me. But we are coming off a recent takedown of Kansas at home that felt so much better than that.

I like Neal in a lot of ways, but he can't be handling the ball. That 61 seconds with Ashworth out were brutal for him. Neal looked like a fish out of water. I like what McAndrew is showing flashes of. He's just a kid playing with grown married men (one with a kid). If he sticks with us and keeps growing, he'll be breaking some records before he's done here.

Some of are crazy.

"Mac promised we'd be more athletic"

We would be with Neal and Pop but pop got hurt.

And losing LJ and Knox were two of our most athletic Gs, but couldn't crack any PT plus redshirt.

We are a program built on skill. If we can ever get the skill players that are great athletes, I think we'll be perennial top ten.

We got crushed in boards particularly on D. And shot like shit. That's a road game against a top team in a tough environment rebounding from a ton of injuries.

It's going to be really interesting to see who we target in the portal from a G standpoint.

It's balancing act.

Seeing the rest of BE, I think we'll be ok. We can be a 6-10 seed.

Am I the only one who thought the officiating was worse than the NBA - and played perfectly into Alabama's wheelhouse? I saw all kinds of uncalled travels and checks/hacks/shoves that will be called in a NCAA tourney game. Alabama is street garbage basketball. We know that we will run into this kind of crap 30% of the season; and I hate Greg's "no fouling" mindset. We need 2 street brawlers on the roster who can be turned loose in this type game even if they play sparingly in other games. The brawlers need to force extremely physical action upon the cheating opponents and make the refs start calling a tighter game to enforce order.

Yes, they got away with the extra half step that is usually called in college but not the NBA. Several times I was yelling for a travel call. That's the beauty of the home court whistle. Their fans complained quite a bit with the refs last year too, I guess this was payback.

After 30 minutes, Ash Kalk and Green were the ones that stood out but after the final whistle, all I could think about was Jackson so I give my standout player of the game to Jackson. I liked what I saw from the team overall but we're 2 guards short right now of being a top ten team.
It's too bad it didn't work out with Johnson and Knox plus Pop's injury along with still waiting on Fedor.
