As usual, a great read!
I always enjoy the watching the opposing coaches/bench players reactions during the first half highlights. KU not nearly as entertaining as U Conn or Greggg Marshall, but fun nonetheless!

It amazes me that 2 players with very different skills split time at the 3 last night. Jamiya got us off to a great start attacking the rim. This is not Mason’s forte and yet Mason made important contributions defensively and hitting a couple of timely 3’s. Mason seems like he is starting to get back to where he was last year after an off season injury. There is always room for a 45% three point shooter in the rotation Plus, Mason’s improved defense and hustle last year was helpful.

Got to thinking last night when the Shocker score popped up during our game, those smug arrogant pr*cks that were Shocker nation back in the day must be tearing their sack cloth over the direction these programs have gone since we left the MVC. WSU can't get KU to set foot in Koch Arena let alone play them since KU ended their home and home series more than 30 years ago (I think two games in those 30 years), and here we are dropping them in our house. Makes me so happy.

Yeah I love reading Shockernet these days. They wanted us both to lose last night but reading Clod bloods continuous revisiting of the firing of king gregggg— still to this day —is priceless…

F KU chants went well into the night at Lefty’s after the game. I saw a college age girl making out with a 70 year old man. Those students got weird on Wednesday.

I for one am happy that the crowd has been more rowdy than our sweatervest and wine stereotype. What Providence students did directed at a religion is wrong, but generally I want more Hilton or Allen type environment not less.

I love that the students have been engaged, love the giant flag before tip, could do without the F KU though. Not cool for the family environment at the game and doesn't really represent Creighton as the classy group we've been known to be. There are ways to get under an opponents skin without taking the lazy route to profanity. We were pretty effective way back in the Korver years, even got the Iowa players to yell back at us during the game. That's when you know you've successfully entered their headspace. We'd research the players, coaches, etc, find some dirt, and focus on that. Gets way more under their skin than saying a lazy FU.
