Seriously think that Fedor might deserve to be in that conversation with regard to passing — his passing in tight spaces / traffic is absolutely next level. So far, it’s his greatest next level skill on display.

What former CU players would people compare Jamiya to and why?

A lot of folks would say Buford, but Buford was on another level athletically and an NBA player. For those old enough to remember I am going to say Daryl Stovall.

He reminds me in some ways of Damian Jefferson — transfer in, a bit raw and then developing, arguably more explosive and athletic than the other wing options, capable shooter even if not consistently excelling there, but also capable of getting to the rim in a way the rest of the roster can’t consistently, long and quick defensive potential …

Definitely agree not Buford, as the Sheriff will always be one of the all-time Jays greats, Neal not close to his level. Daryl Stovall was a slightly better scorer than Neal, and my opinion is Neal is somewhere between Jefferson and Stovall. Glad we have him on our team this year, as he is the difference in Jays likely making the tourney.

Jefferson is a decent comp, although Neal is a better passer and I think a better shooter and Jefferson a better rebounder.

How about as a comp : “Who we thought Kaluma might become”?

I think the expectations for Kaluma were much higher than where Neal is now. The Kaluma we got was better at times, similar at times, worse at times than the Neal we have now.
