The only reason Rick Barnes keeps his job is because they are saving money up to buy out Mack Brown.

Consider me not interested in this kid becoming a Jay.

I'm not sure what he is looking for in a school. Texas stunk this year, and they have consistently underachieved. USC has been mediocre for a while. But he seems focused on attending a school with big name recognition, even if they aren't necessarily a great program.

In addition, when asked about his final list of five schools before he committed to USC, he said something along the lines of Creighton only being on the list because of his respect for Lutz. He never seemed to have a genuine interest in attending Creighton.

You don't want a borderline top 100 recruit? You serious Clark?

Of course Kendall is wanted here...9 pages of posts on his thread attest to our interest. ;) It's just that he has shown very little interest in the Jays...never visited during his 1st recruitment, and doesn't appear that he will visit this time either. Teams want recruits who show interest in the program. UT zooms up his list - from nowhere to the top of the list within 3 wks time, doesn't look good for the other teams with interest.

He's a very good player and would be a welcome addition to the mix, however, it doesn't appear likely that he visits the Hilltop.

This is a good point. Unless things have changed with the Big East move, he's likely looking elsewhere. We are likely to be in a situation where we are running out of slots and we can't afford to wait around for someone who has shown luke warm interest at best. Especially when we have high level guys like Severe, Brooks and Lee with much warmer interest.

Four-star guard Kendal Yancy-Harris will announce his decision on twitter at 2pm. He just finished a visit to #Texas

It's clearly looking like Texas.

Texas has been horrible and players are leaving Barnes left and right w/Kabongo going to the draft and the 2nd leading scorer McClellan just announcing that he's transferring. Good luck to him.

If Texas doesn't make the tournament next year, Barnes is gone and Texas will hire Buzz Williams or Shaka Smart.
