2024 PG/G Britt Prince

Tue Aug 09, 2022 2:43 pm

Britt Prince is Top 2024 prospect in Nebraska and seems to deserve a thread but please move to "other sports" if deemed more appropriate there.

5 star from Elkhorn North, rated as top Nebraska prospect, ranked as no. 5 point guard and no. 11 overall by ESPN HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings. Has over 30 offers, with Arizona being the most recent. Jays were in on her early.

Basically, everybody of substance short of UConn, South Carolina and Texas has offered at this point. She's a special talent. I think Creighton getting in and building that relationship early will allow the Jays to stay in the mix throughout, but she's going to have the opportunity to go wherever she wants by the end of this deal.

Tough situation for Britt, but it sounds like she is doing everything she can to learn from this mistake.

That’s unfortunate. I feel for her. Have never heard anything but good about how she handles herself. Maybe a certain coach who knows something about thoughtlessly making a stupid comment that is so far removed from who you really are could reach out and provide some support for her.

No one from the university should get involved with this.

Watching her in the state tournament. There are no words. Well, Bird-like comes to mind. Whichever coach signs her should demand a raise and a new contract before the day's out.

If we got her, then Creighton would have a Prince and a King, which would be very cool.

She’s pretty damn amazing. Great composure and skill set.

Jays make the initial public cut to 11 teams (along with school that shall not be named down the road). According to OWH article, the list has been narrowed even more but the narrowed list is not public. Decision is expected in late October by November signing period. I have no inside information of any kind or nature, but I would think Indiana might be a leader if I had to guess (and I say that because Coach Sy is an ace recruiter).

For whatever it is worth, ESPN article linked below from yesterday lists six schools (including Jays, Indiana, Iowa State, Oregon, Oklahoma, and the other school), but not seeing other published reports and it is not clear if the ESPN list is a final list or just a list of some, but not all, of schools on her list).
