This competition may end up tougher than Sallis’s.

I would have been tempted to offer even earlier, but we were very early with our offer and the coaches have made him a huge priority. Competition will be tough, but we've made it clear he's probably our top 2022 guy and that he's a perfect, PERFECT fit for our system

Duke reaching out. Really makes me happy he was here for the Seton Hall game.

Pretty good and in-depth article with Traudt.

Gives updates on several schools, says Duke, Virginia, Kansas, Gonzaga now showing interest.

On the Jays: “I’ve been talking to them since March. They were one of the first to show interest and I was able to take an unofficial visit before COVID-19 shut things down. They offered me in June and I’ve developed great relationships with both Coach McDermott and Coach Lusk.”

Like Sallis, I think Isaac will be very hard to keep home and we will be going against the blue bloods of CBB for him. One advantage I think we have with him over Sallis is that his game fits seamlessly into our system. So glad we got on him early and were able to get him to the Seton Hall game

Coach Izzo and coach K both have been in contact this week. (Source: I overheard Traudt talking to someone before the GI-Prep game tonight)

Little update.

https://stockrisers.com/s/250/top-50-junior-isaac-traudt-drops-34-points-talks-recruitment

Which schools are heavily involved?

“The schools that probably are recruiting me the hardest are Oklahoma, Creighton, Michigan State, Virginia, Missouri, and Louisville.”

Who are the newest schools to show interest?

“The newest school interested is North Carolina.”

In breaking down schools, what are your thoughts on Creighton?

“With Creighton, they were the first high-major school to really start recruiting me and they think I fit their style of play really well. I've developed really good relationships with both Coach [Greg] McDermott and Lusk.”

Nice thing is Mac no longer has to sell a dream that we can be a top 10 team. That is now reality. And he is as likely to play against top 10, top 25 and certainly top 50 teams night in and night out right here in Omaha then going all the way to a Duke to play. Granted BigXII schools are generally closer than BIg East teams, but it’s not like OU, OSU, Austin, Waco etc are short drives.
