Bates is a diamond in the rough. ID'ing him early, and a lack of AAU circuit this year might work to our benefit with him. With that said, always have to worry about KU.

Jays LOVE Tamar. Glad to see they still on him hard despite already having made a strong relationship.

Happy to see we're that interested in him - he's been one of my favorite recruits ever since I saw his film early on

Bates interview with Eric Bossi: https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com ... ls-chasing

On Creighton: “I really like their run and gun playing style and they are building something pretty special in Omaha. They’ve already got Denzel Mahoney and Ty-Shon Alexander in this Draft, (Damien) Jefferson will be gone and of course Mitchell Ballock, he’s from here I talk to him all the time. They are in a position of having four guards gone too and will have a need for a freshman to be able to come in and play.”

Interesting what he said about Denzel. Not going to read too much into it. At the end of this article it said something about a possible team up with Hunter Sallis “if it makes sense”..... well, it’d make a lot of sense for them to team up in Omaha!
