Two local Omaha Kids. Lok Wur from Papillion South and Javier Turner from Omaha Central.

Didn’t realize those kids were not available anymore.

I've never seen any highlights of Javier but Lok has some great speed for someone that tall. He's raw but might be worth a shot. Go Jays!

Both are 6'9 and look like they move pretty well. but it's always hard to evaluate HS players. Omaha HS BB has improved over the last 5+ years but these guys are clearly bigger, stronger, and more athletic than everyone on the court for some of their opponents. How would they stack up against D1 talent? Not enough evidence to answer that in these clips, obviously.

And then you've got S&C and technique. My guess is that Wur would need to fill up a bit before being able to go against BE guys and could probably use a redshirt season. Turner might be able to play immediately. Both might need some polishing on both ends of the floor, too.

I don't know if either of those guys are Big East level players.

Javier Turner has potential...needs to work harder and build stronger back to the basket moves and put the SG moves on hold. Kids been thru 3 HS in 3 years. Didn't have enough time at Central for Behrens to really coach him up. A project player-could be good in a couple of years.

Yeah, maybe not. But since they're not using any of our official visits there's certainly no harm in taking a look.
to me Wur's the more interesting of the two, but looks like a project. High risk, high reward.
I think we should be focusing on guys that can come in and immediately complement the core we have for the next two seasons though.
