Brad Winton just tweeted that he'll be visiting this weekend.

"Vincennes' guard Mychal Mulder will take an official visit to Creighton this weekend. Doesn't have any other visits set up yet"

Just offered by Minnesota, would have to think that means Louisville is not interested in offering at the moment.

3 of 4 have now picked Creighton on 247 including Jerry Meyer. If he doesn't commit this weekend, I'm sure they'll switch to his next visit...

Have we heard anything about how we are getting a scholarship open if he would commit? We are still full and I haven't heard of any transfers yet.

Exp: Coach tells player gtmo - "I'm not happy with how u have progressed/developed. I am pulling your scholie and I don't want you on our team any longer."

It is not required for gtmo to leave the University, he just will not have an athletic scholie and will pay or use financial aid like a regular student. If he wants to continue to play basketball - he will transfer to another school and play on scholie.

A kid comes here, gives his all (generally) to the team, university. However, perhaps his (player) ceiling is reached and is deemed not good enough for our level of play (the Big East). Each case/situation is different, but Coach has to make the call (hopefully without outside influences, politics, the court of public opinion, etc. - see Terrell Taylor, Isaac Miles, P'Allen Stinnett). It is not the best part of his job, but team management is important. Ultimately Coach is judged on his W/L record and upgrading the team is important to winning. None of our current players has any issues, nor have they presented any problems. In this case movement and change is solely about upgrading talents.

Coach has to win. If he doesn't he won't be here very long. All have known that CU needs better talent(s) and the staff have recruited and brought in better talent. Recruiting and upgrading the team is a continual process. Welcome to bigtime college basketball. It is what it is.
