Well then. There we go. Another top prospect to add to the list. He's ranked #83 by Rivals. It's amazing how little we know. The staff could be actively recruiting 10 top 100 players - we have no idea. It's sure fun to speculate though.

A funny. However, seriously, I'm not sure I would like to see CU go after the one and done kids even if there is the occasional opportunity to get involved. I'm not sure that would work with the family atmosphere this staff is cultivating.

+1. Although, how many recent one and done kids have gone to non "BCS" schools? Off the top of my head I can't remember any. They all seem to end up at the same group of about 6-10 schools. In any event, I think the sweet spot for us is to go after the top 25-50 players. Guys that are absolutely top prospects, but not kids that envision only spending a year in college.

Side note: It's spelled Jalen, not Jaylen.

The elder Poyser outlined three things he's looking for when his son takes his campus visits. First, the school and coaches have to be receptive to Poyser majoring in engineering.

I'm going to say the chance of us getting a visit are pretty slim when point number one is obviously completely against us.

Why would they even discuss Creighton as one of four schools if it wasn't a possibility?

I'd guess that at this point in the recruiting process they probably don't have a clue that Creighton doesn't offer an engineering degree. He did say something about a business degree too so it's possible they could stress that and still convince him to come but when he says the first thing is an engineering degree that's not exactly a great thing.

Our Energy Technology degree is an engineering degree. It is a very specific type of engineering.

Although, most 17 year olds have no clue what Engineering is, they just say it because someone told them they would be good at Engineering.
