Then, once he gains strength, he can move to the 5 in future years once Groselle graduates...

I've been wondering this too.

JP does not strike me as the type of player that's going to come in and be able to hang with the big kids right away, regardless of the position he plays. His top 40 ranking is something both he and the CU fans should be proud of, but now that we see him competing again it appears to be largely based on the potential that lays in his further development as a player, not what he is right now. IMO, the best thing for his development would be a RS year, where he can focus on adding weight (something he would not really be able to do while playing significant minutes for the team) and further developing his skills

If he continues to come into his own throughout this season, which very well could happen, the conversation changes, until then I'm all for him getting a redshirt

As for the S&C issue, I think Baylor may have a different perspective after Isaiah Austin last year (7'1", under 200lbs?, blind in one eye.)
If Justin is ready, he'll play.

Austin made up for his strength deficiencies with his extra length and his skill level

18 points, 8-13 FG, 17 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, 2 turnovers for Justin tonight.

He's second in the state in blocks (behind a kid playing against scrubs in Class D-I) at 4.6 per game. He's averaging 14 points and 9 rebounds, and if you take away his first three games he's shooting 54% on the season. Per 32, he's putting up 18, 12 and 6.

Just saw Patton was the lone boy nominated for McDonalds all american in Nebraska. Stewart also got nominated over in Iowa which is a testament to the type of prospect he is. Looking forward to these two.

Congrats to those two. Being nominated is an honor. It would be really something for Creighton to be represented by a recruit in the McDonald's All-American game. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I would think Patton has the best chance, but I know it is tough to crack those rosters.

Unless they run with an AAU team with strong Nike or Jordan Brand connections, the chances of either of them making the roster are extremely slim, even if they have phenomenal years.

Those games are all about shoe companies.

22 points, 20 rebounds, 4 blocks against Central. I know Central's down this year, but
