Sounds like the coaches are visiting him tomorrow, and he's visiting Omaha this weekend.

He'll be a Jay for sure. No way he chooses Iowa City over Omaha and the Big East.

The highly touted JUCO F, Atwood, is expected to announce his decision today. If he selects Iowa, that could really help our chances with Huff....

I'm off work today and doing a little checking on Huff. Here are some things I've found:

1) 2013-14 stats: 32.2 mpg, 12.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 0.8 apg, 45.1 FG%, 40.3 3PT%, 82.2 FT%. Look at those percentages :o  :o ----- Kid is a LEGIT shooter and a textbook stretch 4 man. It isn't fair to compare anyone to Doug, but those are Dougie-esqe shooting percentages.

2) An interesting quote I found --- "Huff scored 1.57 points per possession on pick-and-pop scenarios last season with a 76 eFG%, good for the 99th percentile nationally. He also graded out as a good spot up shooter. He’s a a more efficient post-up player than isolation player, but 12% of his offensive possessions were isolations last season."

3) Here's a nice breakdown of Huff's game from the local Reno paper: http://blogs.rgj.com/chrismurray/2014/0 ... or-nevada/

4) As Jet's article indicates, it sounds like if McGary returns to Michigan, they won't pursue Huff. USC seems to be pursuing other bigs as well.

5) In addition to being the legit outside shooting threat I mentioned above, Huff can also break guys down and score off the bounce. He should be able to get to the free throw line, where he shoots 82%, pretty frequently as well.

6) Highlight video from High School. Man among boys.

AttyAlum's foolproof analysis  :D : This kid would be a perfect fit to our uptempo system. Can really shoot the ball, but can get to the rim too The only downside is that he has to sit out a year ---- we could use a guy like him this fall! He would absolutely be worth taking up a scholarship during the sit out season.

I've read he was playing out of position at the 4 spot and wants to play the small forward wherever he transfers to

This would be a fantastic pickup. Our squad for 2014-2015 would be looking really, really nice.

Mac's 3 and 4 are pretty much the same on the offensive end.

It now appears Atwood has put off his decision until tomorrow:
