Palatine, Illinois. Plays AAU ball for the Illinois Wolves. His game is very comparable to Devin Brooks. He's just under 6'2 and he's probably 175. Loves to go to the hoop, and play defense

Roosevelt Smart played sensational for the Wolves in the 16U title game. Smart scored from the mid-range, got to the cup and knocked down some big-time shots on his way to 18 points. His athleticism and quickness caused problems for the opponent defensively and Smart was able to capitalize with some baskets in the open court. An impressive final day for the young talent from Illinois.

Smart showcased his athletic attacking ability again Saturday, scoring 12 and 14 points in two games we saw him play. Smart plays fast in transition and finished well in traffic, knocked down mid-range floaters regularly, and against Gateway showed his three-point capabilities, knocking down a clutch three late in the game which pulled the Wolves in striking distance, setting up Watson for the eventual game-winning jumper.

Taking an unofficial visit to Creighton today.

Its been a pretty busy week on the Hilltop...
"But I truly care about Creighton and the fans and what they've done for me the last three years. I want to give them one more year and take care of business in the Big East so we can prove people wrong.'' ---- Doug McDermott

Palatine- home of Coach Kev McKenna I believe. Would love another player like him coming to the hilltop.

Mel you have a very good memory. Palatine was indeed the home of Kevin McKenna.
