Another Run GMC standout is Kevin Puryear, a 6-7 sophomore from Blue Springs South High. Rivals.com’s Robin Washut says Puryear, “currently holds offers from Creighton and Miami (Ohio), but has been getting heavy interest from schools like Missouri (which he unofficially visited in January), Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Marquette, Wichita State and Arkansas.”

Me too. The write up on him from the latest event sounds like a Gregory Echenique with a mid range shot. Imagine what Mac could do with that! Mac loves the big physical guys.

Still only Creighton and Miami (OH) have offered -- Oklahoma, Kansas State, Missouri, Missouri State, Oklahoma State poking around

Solid overall outing for the lefty 6-7 wing. Puryear likes to stick to the weak side of the floor and can float for jumpers at times but he's got some combo forward skills with some solid developing ball skills and a workable jumper off the catch.

Great pun, Hilltop... Oklahoma State is "poking around."

from Jayhawk Invitational:

Puryear had an outstanding all-around game for KC Run GMC in their Saturday afternoon win over Minnesota Basketball Academy. The 6-7 forward controlled the game with his rebounding and ability to distribute the ball from the high post. Puryear scored 12 points, while pushing a double-double, and also recorded numerous assists.

I hope they target this guy hard.
