I wasn’t aware of interest in any BE transfer candidates.

Edit: I’m now noticing that this is a Creighton young’en posting so take with a grain of salt.

That’s….. not a real player. It’s just some kid trolling

Went to Bishop Sycamore HS. His hype tape is amazing (and doesn't exist).

There are certain types of trolling I can get behind. Three Year Letterman on Twitter is quite humorous. Kids making up high school recruits or transfers to get fans excited about non-existent humans is also allowable.

So he either wants to go play for the worst major conference program in the country and experience losing at a level he's never experienced in his entire life, playing for a coach on his way out the door and with pretty much zero chance of any postseason play at all, or he wants to go to one of the top 3 or 4 schools in terms of history in the country.

Kind of like that John Mulaney bit about when you go out to eat and order something and they tell you your options for a side are either a salad, the healthiest thing on the entire menu, or fries, the least healthy thing on the entire menu.

Man, recruiting is so weird.

Or he's looking for a payday that only football schools or the bluest of blue bloods can afford.

In OWH article he mentioned that he wants to have a significant ball handling role and that schools that won't give him that won't be in contention. That probably rules Creighton out (consistent with Helmzy's post above) because you have to think he'd be coming in here to fill a role and not be "the" guy with the ball in his hands most of the time. For us, that's absolutely going to be R2 and Trey, and then Arthur -- all looking to feed Kalk as much as possible.

He also said he's always dreamed of playing in state where his friends and family can watch, in addition to being on national television every night.

I'm not going to be surprised if he ends up in Lincoln.

Guess it depends on what he means by ball in his hands. Our core is obviously really damn good, but Baylor would still potentially be the best player on the team. He’s pretty special, probably one of the 3-5 or so best players who have entered the portal so far. He wouldn’t bring the ball up the court though, that will be Ryan. As you pointed out, Ryan/Trey/Art will demand a ton of touches. Baylor would too though. Is he comfortable sharing the load or does he want to be the unquestioned guy? If it’s the latter, I’d be surprised if he doesn’t end up at Nebraska.

All the other schools he’s considering are too good for him to be the only primary ball handler really. If he wants to be on a contender with a clear starting role, we’d be a good option as even the Dukes/Kentuckys of the world can’t absolutely promise that with the recruiting classes they have coming in. Kentucky for example is said to be extremely interested but has a 2 and 3 coming in who are both top 10 commits. Would Cal start Baylor over either/both of them? Maybe, but I’m not sure he could promise it to him with a straight face. McD on the other hand can say “here’s our guaranteed 4, you’re our 5th, and these guys compliment your game well.” That’s a pretty strong pitch imo especially if he wants to be close to home.

Scheierman would not even be close to being the best player on our team. Not close to being in the same league with Art, R2, Trey and Kalk. And might back up Miller. Don’t know why there is so much frenzy. Please.

Honest question. Have you watched him play? He can shoot. Like really shoot. Wragge-esque range. Also has around a 2.5:1 assist-to-turnover stat line. I understand he played in the Summit, but he did it against Providence in the NCAA so I think he can do it pretty consistently in the Big East. I'm not saying he would be our best player, but we could use a player like him on the team. The frenzy is warranted.

Not sure you realize how difficult it is to average 16/8/5/1 on 51/47/80 shooting splits as the player every single team is game-planning against to stop. There is literally a 0% chance he'd back-up Miller lol. He wouldn't be a lock by any means to be our best player, but he might be. There's a reason his school list was the way it was. Hell UNC offered him with basically their entire roster coming back from a title appearance and 0 available scholarships. Watch his tape. I'd think we as Creighton fans wouldn't be so dismissive of mid-major superstars. Many considered him the best mid-major player in CBB this year. Saw a tweet that basically said he's the most efficient high-volume CBB perimeter scorer since Doug.

I mean go back and look at that Jeff Goodman tweet in the thread, he calls him "MOST COVETED IN TRANSFER PORTAL HISTORY", whether that's actually true or not, he's clearly in the ballpark given that offer list.

This is the quote from the OWH...

"Scheierman said he’s heard from a few schools that want him to handle the ball less. They aren’t the ones that will make his final list.

“I feel like my passing ability and my ability to read the defense is what makes me unique,” Scheierman said. I wouldn't want to sacrifice those parts of my game. Ultimately, I'd like a similar role to what I had (at South Dakota State), just at a higher level.”

He wants to be a PG. And at the next level he might be that. But I don't see how he can play PG for us based on what we already have there. Like Helmzy said... looks like the NBA or Nebraska to me.

Maybe we could sell Baylor on playing point forward? Does he deserve a separate thread?
