I'm really starting to think it was KU from the moment they offered and he just drug out the recruiting process.

I don't know. Based on everything I saw/heard, I thought he was a lock. His whole "impact/playing time" spiel went by the wayside in my opinion.

Yeah I guess if that actually wasn't what mattered to him I wonder how in on him we would have been had the staff known that. Sucks.

to me it looked obvious that they were treating him as a roster filler and backup option and not the guy they really wanted. I guess we'll see, but I expect to see him on the transfer portal

Former Iowa wing Isaiah Moss is going to KU. Yet another player who will take up wing minutes at KU.

Unless TE is even better than we all thought/wanted him to be, I don’t see him getting minutes. So much for “playing time” and “playing the way I want” being super important.

yeah - Moss is nothing special - other than being a seasoned player - avg'd under 10 pts and 3 rebs a game

not the size that TE has either - so not sure if he's a wing where Moss is a post.

but - it's not exactly a ringing endorsement of what self and KU think of TE's ability to contribute next season as they continue to hit the road hard (in this case convincing Moss to decommit from Arkansas) plus the others.

if nothing else - we have a little ammunition against the KU's and UK's (remember mychal mulder?) in the future.

both these guys would have major roles during their CU tenure - mulder barely played at UK - we'll see what happens with Tristan

What?

Also, he shot 42% from 3. He's immediately KU's best shooter, which is what they desperately needed. Would be surprised if he doesn't play north of 20 mpg.

None of these situations will have an impact on any of these guys. It looks a lot like Enaruna is likely to be just the next guy who said he cared about one thing, but then picked the blueblood unlikely to actually give him that one thing because they were a blueblood, then sat on the bench and eventually transferred out when it didn't work out. There are hundreds of examples of that out there, but they don't dissuade any of these kids from doing it again anyway.

There has really been virtually nothing at all since Enaruna picked KU that has been a surprise. Their situation is shaping up much like everyone expected, and so is ours. That wasn't what was going to sway him, despite what he said in interviews. Maybe we'll still be here if and when he ultimately hits the transfer portal.

Guess we'll see. I'll be shocked if he plays 10 mpg.

Enaruna looks so good out there against Duke so far. Nice buckets, blocks and steals. Ahhh... to think what could have been

Announcers mentioned that they had asked him why he waited so long to commit. Admitted he was waiting for "better opportunities". We didn't have a real chance once KU offered.

Even this can’t make me root for Puke.
