UW has a zoom call with the top-50 prospect today. Arizona, Syracuse, and Creighton also in the mix. Kaluma with AAU connections to Quincy Pondexter through Vegas Elite.

Q: What has the interest been like since he was released by UNLV?

Stevens: "My phone hasn't stopped beeping. He's being heavily recruited by the University of Arizona. Right now I'd say it's a four horse race between Arizona, Syracuse, Creighton and Washington with Western Kentucky hanging around a little bit. It's heavy. He broke it down there from having the entire Pac-12 calling to this level of about four. Syracuse being really the only program that was recruiting him pre-UNLV at a high extent."

Q: What is Kaluma's timeframe for a decision?

Stevens: "Actually, he's looking at making a decision probably in the next week. He's ready to start his college process. I would expect as soon as maybe next Friday, he'll be committed somewhere. He took Zoom calls from Creighton Wednesday, Syracuse and Arizona Thursday, and Washington and Western Kentucky will be Friday."

Skilled. Relentless. Tough. This would be an amazing late-recruiting cycle get for Creighton. If Modestas is anything and Mr. Kaluma signs on and Mr. Hawkins/Mr. Miller live up to the hype I've given them and Mr. Kalkbrenner takes that customary leap CU sees from its young bigs, all of a sudden our frontcourt looks jacked.

Me two weeks ago: "Creighton is facing an uphill climb into reclaiming relevancy with its off-the-court challenge and current roster make-up."

Me (potentially) on May 14, 2021: "After signing Ryan Hawkins and Arthur Kaluma, why can't we be a Top 2 team in the Big East and make another run at a Sweet 16?"
