So if he starts at PG at the beginning of the season, I'm not going to be on here ripping Mac for his "trust" issues. Davion started ahead of freshman Marcus, and Marcus moved ahead during the year. We're going to play a lot of new guys and need all the experience we can get at the beginning of the year.

That was me and I have to respectfully disagree. I remember when good ole' drbluejay made a ridiculous argument a few weeks ago about this. Yes, his Ast./TO ratio is comparable to Marcus but he plays a fraction of the minutes and he's asked to do way less. His main job is to NOT turn it over, swing the ball to someone that is an offensive threat, and lock-up on D. He can play out of control and still not turn the ball over. A lot of the time he'll dribble to a spot or drive with zero plan; he bogs down the offense when he's not on the court at the same time as Marcus.

My gut tells me Nembhard will be the guy based on his poise and instincts he's shown against top-level competition, but you never know how quickly high school guys will assimilate.

I have a hard time seeing Jacob Epperson returning next year. Hes a senior in classes and I think after all the injuries he just doesn't have the ability to keep playing.

Anyone else got heartburn irt omitted HS All-American selections?

1st @McDaag , now Sports Illustrated @SInow -both sleeping on TyTy Washington and Mason Miller in their
HS AA selections. Both were in SI's top 99 list, along with Ryan Nembhard, but failed to make the cut to Top 50. Both have had phenomenal
years as HS Seniors and both are in the running for several post-season awards. It is just a shame that writer's bias
will see them both slighted for these traditional honors.

I'm not gonna point to the obvious biases that may come to mind (a certain university's commits, etc., etc.)

1-Nembhard

This makes some sense, but here's what I'd like to see.

1 - Nembhard
2 - TyTy
3 - Antwann - has to make a jump or it's Rati here.
4. Bishop
5. Kalkbrenner

What do I like about that squad? Bigger. Athletic. Smart. Lacking in shooting.

Christofilis, Rati, AOC, Shereef, Modestas, Epp off the bench.

I doubt Mac will start the two bigs, but I'd like to see it. Epp and Modestas and perhaps a grad transfer big could provide depth off the bench in the frontcourt.

Assuming he's "as advertised" - Nembhard makes more sense as a starter than Shereef.

Hunter Sallis blows this all to smithereens by posting a picutre of himself in a Creighton jersey in 25 days, with a lot of potential Antwann and AOC shrapnel.

Plus, you have to guess there will be some unexpected transfer/attrition that could open up another spot or two. With the new, easier transfer rules, something is bound to happen. Next year will be an interesting one.

I generally agree with vivid but I do think Rati will be starter over Antwann. Miller will get a lot of minutes spotting Bishop and Kalkbrenner. AOC and Antwann and Reef I see as having same roles next year as this year. Trust factors are not going to overcome TyTy and Ryan’s sheer talent. If Sallis signs, then we will for sure be a national championship contender next year, much more so than this year. That trio would be superb and having Rati, Miller coming off bench, puts a smile on my face. Even without Sallis, the team will be better next year as I see more consistent play from TyTy and Ryan than Mitch and Denzel.

Kentucky thought they would be good with all freshmen and Mintz.

Kentucky stinks.

Never count on major contributions from frosh until they prove it.
I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.

My opinion is that even with Sallis (longshot), CU would be nowhere near national champion contenders. Stranger things have happened, but as mentioned, Kentucky’s 2020-2021 recruiting class was better than the Jays incoming 2021-2022 class. They are struggling and that program is used to the one-and-done culture. Next year’s Bluejay squad would be wildly reliant on first year players, not a recipe for a deep tournament run.

If this all plays out as we are hypothesizing, I would be so happy to be wrong about this.

Next years team will be so young (but talented) and I've been disappointed in what I've seen from Antwan and Alex (although he needs more time to learn system). Ill be ecstatic if we make the tourney next year...

Should we go after the Pitt transfer - Au'Diese Toney and/or Xavier Johnson? Both announced leaving last week - 2nd & 3rd top scorers. Guess it depends on who leaves this year

Ridiculous argument? There are not many 2nd string PG's averaging over 2/1 A/T. I would not say 14 min. a game is a fraction. Appreciate what you get and stop slamming Reef every chance you get.

I agree and may I add the best thing about freshmen is they are Sophomores the next year.
