On Jeff Goodman's transfer portal list, he has Umoja Gibson - a 6'1", 170 pound guard from North Texas, as being linked to Creighton. He would sit one year, play one, without a waiver.

Averaged 14.5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 41% FG, 39% 3PT, 84.5% FT, 1.4 steals, 2.5 turnovers over 30 minutes per game.

"He's elite at shooting off the catch, and has deep range. He's an active and aggressive on-ball defender that plays hard all the time."

Other schools: Auburn, Arkansas, TCU, Oklahoma, Butler, SMU, Boise State

He's a sit one play two since he had a season-ending injury two games into the season back in 2017-2018.

Austin Chatman was good. Ditto, Geoff Groselle.

Meant UNT not North Texas the region. Was referring to that awful series we started with them while still in the Valley that ended with the trip to Denton in 2014 that began that long losing streak.

Gibson was 80-207 from deep last season meaning he only shot 4 less threes than Mitch and made a better percentage than Denzel at 38.6

He was also 208th in steal percentage on KP so defense also seems strong. And N Texas wasn’t bad at 77th in KP (1 ahead of UCLA).

Another interesting prospect who wants to play PG - could see a time split with him and Shereef if MZ leaves early.

Oklahoma sophomore guard Jamal Bieniemy is transferring.

If I remember correctly, we recruited him pretty hard out of high school

His ASS/TO ratio is not good at 0.8/1 if he wants to play PG.

“ Creighton and Washington State become the newest programs involved with Fresno State transfer Jarred Hyder, he told @Stockrisers. Expect no shortage of suitors for him.”

Reaching out and being a suitor is a funny thing. A phone call to a kid’s high school or AAU coach to find out what’s up with the kid (ie, doing front end digging) or something more? A lot of the upfront digging/mild interest gets put out in social media.

I’ll look for making a kid’s final list or something.
I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.
