Love the class, I really do, but man are we going to be young at guard/wings.

No doubt we'll be young, but kids like the ones in this class aren't looking to sit a year and wait for a chance. They should be a lot more ready to play than most.

PG probably worries me the most, Rati getting hurt cuts a year of his development on the court, and Mitchell may not be a pure PG for us, so Nembhard is probably tossed into the mix almost immediately.

I'm assuming Marcus departs, but that we have O'Connell and Jones back on the wing which should help a lot on the wing.

But no matter how talented they are, it's impossible to replicate the BE level of play in HS or AAU play

Super class so far has to help CU in the recruitment of Sallis. I believe Creighton has as good of a chance as anyone on getting Sallis now that our class is rated top ten. You can never have too many guards and you can't beat the positives of playing for your home town team.

I see 3 other guards as a negative in getting Sallis. He could come here and compete for playing time or go somewhere where he is the guard recruited.

Based on his list of 8, I'm not sure he is going to walk into ANY program on it and be "the guy." He just now has more competition at CU if he were to pick the Jays; just like he would any of the others.

If Hunter comes in a performs as he is expected to he will get 25+ minutes a game and likely start most games at whatever program he chooses come next fall. Just took a quick peak at the 2019 top 10 recruits and, excluding James Wiseman, all averaged at least 24.9 mins per game and none started fewer than 70% of games they played in.

I don’t think this is a very good take. The competition at Kentucky and North Carolina will arguably be more intense at the guard spot than it will be at Creighton. Those programs only get 4 and 5 stars.

There are some compelling arguments why Hunter may not come to Creighton over the others in his Top 8. “Too much competition” ain’t one of them, IMO.

I don't disagree. I don't think Sallis is going to pick Kentucky over Creighton (or vice-versa) out of a fear of competition for playing time, as that will simply be a challenge either place.

However -- we did just have a guard transfer away from Creighton and go to Kentucky because the competition for playing time here meant he had a better chance to get minutes there, so . . .

Thank you for proving my point, I don’t even have to say “go ask Davion if my point has and validity”.!

Davion wanted minutes at point guard where there is an All American that's going to rightfully command 30+ minutes a game here. He would have played plenty sliding into Ty-shon's spot.

Kansas has 2 four star recruits both 6’7” or taller
Zags has 2 four stars both 6’8”
North Carolina 2 four stars a SG and a PF
UCLA 2 four stars a SG and a SF
Iowa State has one four star PG
Kentucky has 2 four star PF and 1 PG
Oregon an has a 5 star center, 4 star center and 3 star SF
Creighton has 2 four star PG and one 3 star SG and a 4 star PF
I know that does not take into account returning players but what school looks like the most completion for playing time for Hunter?
