Let's hope we land Connor, everyone will be happy.

Read the whole thing. Where exactly are the damning quotes? Conner said he wants to have a bigger role. Self complimented him as a player and person. The chemistry quote was clearly in reference to there being less of a positional logjam with Frankamp gone; it wasn't an indictment on Conner's character.

Shocker fans sure seem certain that he's going to WSU. He was at their game again this week and it was tweeted out by staff that Gregg was showing him the facilities, living residences, and cafeteria. He'd be such a perfect fit for Creighton, but I wouldn't begrudge the young man if he wanted to play close to home.

I wouldn't either. I just hope that he makes the best decision with regards to his basketball future and academics.

Since Khyri Thomas is still at there along with the emergence of Isaiah Zierden makes Conner less crucial IMO. The fact that he is perfect for our system and he's been here twice and we couldn't seal the deal (yet) is disappointing....

I haven't seen 24/7 predict him to CU, so I still think we have a shot :)

My guess is it boils down to his perception of what is available at each place. We have Watson and Stewart, along with IZ for two more years - we also have a bevy of outside shooters at the 3 and 4 spots for the next several years with Toby, Cole Huff, Miliken etc. (assuming they get going here at some point). There is also the possibility of Kyrie coming. On the other hand, with Van Vleet and Baker most likely being done, there may be much more opportunity for him to step in a play significant minutes at WSU right away. Would love to have another sharp shooter to run out on the floor, but can't blame him if he feels there is more chance to be the guy at WSU.

They have absolute gods coming in at guard - just ask their fan base.

Gods, I tell you! So much so that some there think going to CU makes a lot of sense, since PT at Wichita might be a struggle, but he can walk in here and be an unquestioned starter.

I have seen a few posts thinking that Van Fleet and Baker will likely leave after this year. They are both great players, but are they really good enough to leave early? I have not followed any NBA projections this year, so I guess I am looking to be more enlightened regarding these two and their future if someone would care to elaborate. I would imagine this is a huge factor for Frankamp's decision.

Baker is a likely first rounder. Van Fleet won't get drafted and will almost assuredly stick.

If Wichita fans think that, it's good enough for me, I mean, since they obviously know our program better than we do.
