If I am being honest I am not as plugged in as I used to be with the staff but I will follow Jacob's lead here and say this. When it comes to recruiting I think its most important to view the game (and roster) in three categories, 1) ball handlers 2) wings 3) posts. Its fairly evident when the staff recruits they arent looking for guys that fit into the PG/SG/SF/PF/C category. Jays successfully landed both Nembhard and TyTy Washington in the same class despite both being listed as a 'PG'.

It feels like Mac wants 2 capable ball handlers on the floor at the same time, surrounded by 2-3 wings or 2 wings and a post.

When specifically discussing Isaacs, he is the type of weapon that might be best utilized as a combo guard, much like I figured the Jays would use TyTy this year. Isaacs is a bucket, who happens to be 6-1 and thus is often listed as a PG. Can he run the show. YES. Would he, and most players, benefit from playing with Nembhard. YES.

No offense to our previous coaching staff, but the combo of Courtney/Miller/Huss, is probably the most impressive staff in terms of recruiting the Jays have ever had, yet despite that recruiting firepower I'd bet we'll be in on some top talent because 2022s, 2023s want to run with guys like Miller, Kaluma, Nembhard and Christofilis. Hell, it was a major factor for Top 40 Kaluma, and probably Alexander I am sure it will be similar for Traudt, Sharp, Shaw, Isaacs...

+1 to this and to what Jacob said. This roster may be one of the most flexible rosters we've ever had. I imagine Mac already has plans for playing Miller, Koluma and Traudt on the floor at the same time in different variations depending on where they end up with S&C. Think of it this way -- IMO, in the future it's possible that Koluma can do whatever Bishop could do on the floor in addition to more outside shooting off of the screen (kind of like Martin)

I just see the roster being more and more positionless than before. Even if we run out a more traditional 1-2-3-4-5 lineup, several of the people on the floor will have no trouble switching onto just about anyone defensively.

For a long time, it's been Villanova and everyone else in the BE.. this recruiting and future roster may change that.

It would seem that the Jays are no longer in play here:

If we could somehow land Richard Isaacs, Isaac Traudt and Isaac from “Love Boat,” that has to be a Top 10 class. I’d be floating if that happened. Thank goodness someone (the name escapes me) discovered gravity to bring me back down.

There’s a Mike Trout/Ike Traudt joke in there somewhere.
