Not that I find 247's Crystal Ball very reliable or even meaningful, but today Evan Flood predicted Wilson to Creighton.

Three guys picked him to CU last night. Not sure what happened to cause that.

Seems like a mid-major offer list - are the coaches suddenly worried about our future guard play and feeling a bit desperate?

He has offers from Iowa State and Wisconsin. If a team coming off a Final 4 thinks enough of him to offer, then I'm fairly sure he's pretty good. He also has interest from Minnesota, Michigan State and Purdue.

Yes, he has "mid major" offers from Colorado State and UNI and others, but let's see what happens before we jump to conclusions. The way the Crystal ball works, it's plausible that Evan Flood picked Creighton by default because Wisconsin already signed Brevin Pritzl at SG for 2015. The other two might have just followed his lead. The only thing that's interesting is Jerry Meyer (who runs 247) and Evan Flood are usually on point with their picks.

From what I can gather on him, he sounds like an explosive and athletic guard, who can also shoot from outside. He broke a school record when he hit 9 three's in a game last season.

I'm sure Iowa St and Wisky are sort of like our offers to Cody Schwartz, Billy Wampler, etc. They are provisional and LONG after we are no longer after guys they still report an offer and when they commit to San Jose and Drake the stories read, "had an offer from Creighton..."

Not true.

I am 100% sure that Wisky was off the board as soon as they got Pritzl months ago.

I'm sure that's correct regarding Wisconsin. They don't need another SG at this point. But an article from late July talked about the interest from Minnesota, Michigan State etc. And he confirmed the offer from Iowa State.

I put this in the 2015 thread on Wilson

Not a lot of info, but looks to be a SG/PG combo who is big enough and athletic enough to play D on a lot of different kinds of players. Seems to be moving up the charts with some teams with Iowa State and Dayton apparently in the mix now as well.

He seemed to be trying to get Minnesota's attention, but it didn't come. Some academic concerns as well. Looks to me like a different version of Kyri Thomas, but maybe they think he's more likely to quality. Had a conditional offer from Wisci after camping there, but they may have moved on due to academics and landed someone else.

On taking a harder look, I like this guys. He looks to have slipped between the cracks a bit and reminds me of the athletic, long guys that Wichita plays at guard. He has a solid basis for an offensive game and could develop into a lock down defender.

We also offered him early, so were waiting out his interest in MN and Wiscy.

His highlight clips are impressive. Very athletic guard.

New story on the web that requires a subscription but from the small piece I could see and the tweet that went with it from Evan Flood it would seem that it is Creighton for basketball but maybe he'll go football instead. Again, I am reading between the lines behind the pay wall.
