I have been a number of times on business into the deepest parts of Mississippi and Louisiana. I can tell you from first hand observation that you will not find any more worse living conditions anywhere else in America than in the delta and bayou country in these two states. It is truly sad and unbelievable that people still live like this in our country. Something that will haunt you the rest of your life once you have seen it. I know Pop will probably never see these conditions with his NIL deal and rubbing elbows with rich old money Ole Miss boosters whose families have long ago abandoned the poor people in their state who don’t care about Ole Miss basketball but would rather not go to sleep hungry or have a home rather than live in a shack made of random scrap materials.
