I was surprised that Kiara Reinhardt did not play against Loyola.

Creighton sweeps Loyola Chicago 3-0. Nice start as Loyola is preseason #1 for A-10.

I didn't realize, Loyola was 17-1 in conference last year, and they have the returning A10 Player of the Year, Setter of the Year (different players), and Coach of the Year. This seems like a big deal win.

Likewise. Does anyone know if Rennes is a scholarship player? I count Bolton, Sis, McCune, Reinhardt, Johnson, Martin, Schmitt, Bichelmeyer, TeStrake, Wait, Ndam-Simpson as 11 of the 12. I'm pretty sure partial scholarships aren't allowed for volleyball, although NIL obviously could cover a lot. That would mean either Rennes or Breissinger is a walkon.

They definitely tested the Jays. I was following along for the first two sets and they were tight or Loyola was leading past the 20 point mark. In the second set, the Jays had something like a 20-14 lead and Loyola rattled off 6 or 7 straight points to make it a nailbiter.

Solid early season test and win. Let's get a big scalp today.

Setting and passing were sloppy yesterday. Credit the team for fighting through it. But to get a win against Purdue, a ton will have to be cleaned up in 24 hours.

Huge composure in a really tough road environment vs number 1 recruit.

Looked like the better team all day. Gotta finish it up tomorrow
