Still, UConn was +24 at half in that Omaha debacle, so we’re that many to the good. Not much consolation now, though.
I’ve noticed that throughout the season, the 3Q is the weakest quarter for the Creighton women. But not as bad as this. Looks like we just made ‘em mad. Also, the off. RB disparity is just plain grim.

And the scary thing about that is that when UConn goes out of conference, they get cuffed around. Five double-digit losses.

To be fair, UConn has had 5 season ending injuries since July. All but one of their losses (excluding the loss to #6 NC St) have been since Fudd's ACL injury in November. They've had 3 more season ending injuries since then including 2 in January. They still have plenty of talent to go around but I dont think it is that surprising they have had some ugly losses either. I think they'll still compete well in March and I hope Creighton does too.

Which does nothing at all to make it feel any better that Creighton never looks like they even belong on the same court by the time the game is over. Love Flan, love that team -- just so frustrating that they can't even be competitive against UConn for a full game, ever.
