Just got the Jaybacker "benefits" for this year and they are drastically different than last year. Previously, you could get club passes for some games with your low end Jaybacker tickets in lieu of the old Jaybacker room which they shut down. Now, you only get 2 passes for the $350 donation. Also, it looks like the press box ticket option may be dead as well which is a shame because that was a fun once in a while opportunity to watch the game with food and beverage included.

I really don't know if now is the time to contract the goodies for boosters with the program the way that it is but maybe I don't know enough. You'd think you'd want more people donating to the program and the more perks you can add it the better.

Not necessarily Creighton-specific, but D1Baseball's Kendall Rogers -- who knows his stuff and has sources everywhere -- says MLB and College Baseball are in talks about how to grow their partnership. Two of the ideas on the table, and that his sources say could happen as soon as next year? Moving the MLB Draft to Omaha (awesome) and having a regular season game at TDAPO the night before the CWS starts, as a kickoff to the event (really awesome).

This is amazing. Last year we were talking about how it would make sense to have the draft in Omaha before the CWS. Really glad other people are thinking the same thing, especially the people who can actually make it happen. Plus an MLB game? Yes, please!

man - the NBA exhibition was a big damn deal a few years ago

but an actual MLB game that means something? wow

putting that on top of the CWS is interesting - can omaha handle that kind of influx?

especially if any team with any sort of local interest is involved (cubs, cards, twins, royals)

I bet it can. If it can handle the swimming trials and the CWS at the same time or very close in time, then yes, it has the rooms and infrastructure for this.

This should be handled like an NCAA basketball regional. CU season ticket holders get first dibs. Think?
